Hepatitis A and A2

Malaria pills (through your doctor, health department will advise which pill)
Hepatitis A is good for 6 to 12 months. If you do not intend to travel to countries such as
Tetanus is recommended to have if you have not had tetanus shot in the past 7 to 10 years. Because of the conditions in
Typhoid is recommended and there are now two ways you can receive. If you get a Typhoid shot it will be good for two years and if you take a series of Typhoid pills it will be good for five years.
Hepatitis B1, B2, is necessary for travel to
Hepatitis B3 is a follow-up shot that is given a minimum of five months after the
Hepatitis B2 shot and will last you a lifetime.
MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) The health department is now recommending for those born in 1957 or later without a history of measles or without a history of two doses of MMR, or aren’t sure if you had two doses they recommend getting the second dose.
When should you contact the Health Department?
Minimum of eight weeks prior to travel to arrange an appointment or now if time is short! They will then schedule an appointment so you can receive both the Hepatitis B shots prior to departure. At your first appointment they will give you all the other shots listed above if you have not already received. Each shot is $35 to $55.
